A few of us from the neighborhood have gotten together to put on this now annual whole family event.

And we've made this website so you can find out everything you need to know.

Want To Help Out?

Our Annual Block Party is volunteer event and we can always use a few people who want to contribute.

Stay tuned and we'll be adding other pages. We'll be looking for business who want to sponsor like London Drugs Tysol and IGA (supply stuff like paper plates, napkins, ketchup, BBQs, Tables, etc) Click Here To Sponsor

We'll need some people to help clean up after the event (last year it took about half an hour) and we'll need a few people to BBQ in different shifts.

We'll also be happy if a few of the strata corporations (councils) wish to make a financial contribution. Solo Duo Treo happily funded the whole party last year but it is growing and we'll need a few more bucks. $150 per strata will give us all the funds we need to throw a great party! Date: Sunday August 21

Time: 1:00PM to 5:00PM

We'll be in The Arbutus Walk Greenway (Arbutus to Vine where 11th Ave used to be) You'll find us over by the playground area.

Look for the people and listen for the music to move, groove and hang out to.

What To Bring

This is a BBQ, with Games, Kids & Dogs! – Oh yeah, Adults too!

We’ll provide a full blown summer corn roast; just bring your own beverages. We’ll Supply the corn, the music, the condiments and The BBQs - Yes, that means it's free!

Bring down some games, your kids, your lawn chairs if you have them and bring your own beverages.

Who & Why

This is event is for the whole community. It's meant to bring us together, have some fun with each other and get to know one another.

So who's invited? Basically anyone who lives in the Arbutus Walk or happens to be passing through that day!

Why are we doing it? We love this neighborhood and because we can - so we say "Why Not"!
